2014 Runway Safety Area Improvements At Del Norte County Airport
CEI is a subcontractor in the project providing all labor and materials for runway lighting, electrical and generator vaults, underground conduit infrastructure, remove and install new guidance signs and concrete pads, construct new CMU electrical building.

2011/2012 COLUSA COUNTY AIRPORT IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT
CEI installed perimeter fencing and automatic gates, replaced rotating beacons, installed PAPI's at each end of the runway, installed AWOS III and replaced constant current regulators at the Colusa County Airport.

2007/2008 DASR VELVET PEAK RADAR SITES
Velvet Peak is located 30 miles NW of Barstow, CA, atop a giant rock mountain. Scope of work included earthwork, site grading and surfacing, constructing of foundations for the equipment shelter, radar tower, prefabricated engine generator building and miscellaneous equipment. Cal Electro supplied the materials and manpower to construct CMU building, erection of tower, installation of facility grounding system, onsite power, telephone conduits, diesel fuel systems, assemble, lift and mount company furnished radar reflector. Installed wave guide , and installed SIU rack and associated power and signal cables. Phil Irvine with Cal Electro, was the superintendent. Bob Bradshaw with Raytheon made this job especially enjoyable.

Cal Electro supplied the materials and manpower to construct CMU building, erection of tower, installation of facility grounding system, onsite power, telephone conduits, diesel fuel systems, assemble, lift and mount company furnished radar reflector. Installed wave guide , and installed SIU rack and associated power and signal cables. This job was especially challenging because of the remote location and extreme weather conditions. CEI fabricated and installed towers and antennas at six Northern California Sites For the FAA.
1998 Stockton Airport D.A.S.R.
Cal Electro Inc. worked as a subcontractor to Raytheon Service Company and completed the installation of a Digital Airport Surveillance Radar tower in Stockton, CA. Scope of work included the erection of a 57' steel tower, placing the radar sail, trenching of a two mile fiber optic ductbank, mechanical HVAC, concrete foundations and the installation of approximately $2 million in equipment inside the CMU building. Cal Electro was real lucky to have Mike Jacobs as our RE, to build this first prototype radar site.

1997 Nellis Air Force Base (Airfield Lighting)
CEI installed new airfield lighting at Nellis AFB. This work included the installation of runway edge lights, duct bank, threshold lights, distance remaining markers, guidance signs, PAPI lights and cable on a highly active military base. CEI was limited on the amount of time a runway could be closed due to the high traffic of the base. this contract consisted of night work with a very critical schedule that was completed ahead of schedule and on budget. All CEI employees were required to undergo special training for construction operations on a active military airfield. CEI was pleased to work with John Stevens, one of the most straightforward contracting officers CEI has ever worked with.
