Thirty Caltrans contracts, as prime and as subcontractor.
Caltrans electrical, prime and subcontractor
Capability
Cal Electro has delivered thirty contracts for the California Department of Transportation, as prime and as electrical subcontractor to the general. Cal Electro holds A, B and C-10, which covers a Caltrans notice to bidders by either the Class A route or the combination-of-C route. The record runs from roadway lighting and flashing beacons to complete facilities: the Cottonwood Scales inspection facility at $4,456,185 carried lighting systems and controls, a 200kW backup diesel generator, main service gear and surveillance and communications systems.
Recent scope includes emergency pumping plant upgrades, CCTV and rigid camera towers, changeable message signs, radar feedback signs, traffic monitor stations, pedestrian-activated beacons, electric vehicle charging stations in three counties, trenchless pipe and fiber optic cable system modifications. Every Caltrans job below carries its EA number.
Caltrans work rewards a sub who can carry the civil scope with the electrical. Foundations, trenching and structure work stay with our crews.
