Cal Electro's two largest published contracts are both water jobs.
Water and wastewater electrical, on live plants
Capability
The two largest contracts on Cal Electro’s record are water work. The South Lake Tahoe wastewater treatment plant generator replacement, $6,136,535 in 2019, delivered a new emergency generator, switchgear, fuel tank and building on a live plant. The O’Neill Pumping Plant transformer rehabilitation for San Luis & Delta-Mendota Water Authority, $5,358,818.79, rehabilitated four single-phase main transformers under coordinated outages.
Behind those sit pumping plant upgrades for Caltrans from San Luis Obispo to Bakersfield, emergency wells, and hatchery power for the Department of Fish and Wildlife. The Biggs Phase 1 treatment improvements took in influent piping and manholes, a spiral mechanical screen, a concrete sewer influent wet well, an influent pump distribution system, field piping, valves and flow meter, and SCADA telemetry.
Pumping plant work carries civil, mechanical and piping scope alongside the electrical, all of it our own crews.
- Live facilities
- Treatment plants and pumping stations stay in service while their power systems are replaced.
- Synthetic ester fluids
- Transformer rehabilitation including refilling with synthetic ester fluid and bushing replacement.
